Welcome to Delta Force Volleyball Club. When playing a sport, you are making a commitment to yourself, your family, and most important of all, your team.  All the participants are to fulfill this commitment for the entire season.  This season can be a long and grueling one, but it is your commitment and your dedication that will get you through it.  In certain situations, an athlete may feel that she wants to quit, but my advice, as a coach, is don't.  We encounter many challenges in our young and adult lives, and participation can be a great tool in helping us deal with different types of adversity.  Every athlete is encouraged to finish what has been started.  Athletes that quit are giving up, not only on themselves, but also those that depend on them, THE TEAM!

 

Choosing a volleyball club is serious business.  It is a commitment of time and money as well as an individual commitment to a club for the duration of the season.  Spending a little time researching your options and opportunities may save you from a frustrating season.  Be sure to ask lots of questions.

 

Coaches at each club have a wide range of coaching experience.  You need to find out the coaches' level of coaching education, as well as what ongoing coaching education the club provides.  A club's level of commitment to improving thier coaches gives an example of the program's commitment and passion for excellence. This will help you decide the kind of coaching your daughter is going to receive. Remember, volleyball is a game, and should be played to have fun.  However, it is also on a very competitive level.

So keep in mind, the relationship your daughter (athlete) has with the coach, which is more important than the club itself.
